Tulpa is an Adelaide-based magazine focusing on the Arts Community in South Australia. The brain-child of former student media editors Lisandra Linde and Liam McNally, Tulpa emerged as an alternative to Australia’s more high end and exclusive literary magazines. Our aim is to give emerging and marginalised writers a safe space to publish their work. We accept work from writers of any age and experience level and love stories that think outside the box and challenge convention.
Tulpa prioritises submissions from writers living in South Australia but also accept work from anywhere in Australia. We publish online and are working towards producing a quarterly print magazine. We are always open to submissions of all kinds from fiction to journalism, poetry and essays and everything in-between.
